2020 Hans Estate Cabernet Franc

Vineyard Source: Hans Estate Vineyard, East Bench, Osoyoos — a 16-acre site planted in 2001 and farmed with care (and a touch of stubbornness) by the Hans family: Harry, Kulbir, and son Balkar.

Winemaking: Aged 50 months in neutral oak, allowing the bold fruit and structure of the vineyard to shine through with elegance and depth.

Nose: Cherry wood, crushed raspberries

Taste: Vanilla, strawberry candies, acai

Vintage: 2020 — a cooler spring followed by a long, warm, and sunny fall allowed grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, producing bold, balanced reds with great concentration and structure; widely regarded as one of the best recent vintages.
