2024 Frenchman Hills Chardonnay
Varietal(s): 100% Chardonnay
Vineyard Source: Frenchman Hills Vineyard, Royal Slope AVA — planted in 1998, perched at 1,650 ft. Limestone and basalt soils untouched by the Missoula Floods lend minerality and tension, while the cool climate and minimal frost risk allow for slow, even ripening and beautifully preserved acidity.
Winemaking: Barrel fermented for 8 months — 13% new American oak, 87% neutral oak — balancing texture and freshness.
Nose: Canned peaches, marmalade
Taste: Honey, marzipan/almond, orange blossom
Vintage: 2024 — marked by steady weather and moderate temperatures. Gradual ripening encouraged pristine fruit expression and balanced acidity, resulting in wines of vibrant freshness and elegant complexity.
