2022 Hans Estate Malbec

Hans Estate Malbec comes from one of our most extreme and expressive vineyard sites in Osoyoos. A steep, east-facing slope planted in deep desert sand that drives low yields and intensely concentrated fruit with bold character and natural power. 

Vineyard Source: 16-acre Hans Estate, Osoyoos (east-facing slope planted in deep desert sand up to 25 feet)

Winemaking: 42 months in oak (63% new American oak, 37% neutral oak)

Nose: Eucalyptus, cassis, boysenberry, nutmeg

Taste: Saskatoon berry, fennel, cranberry compote

Vintage: 2022; a warm, steady season with consistent sunshine and cool nights that allowed for even ripening, producing Malbec with deep concentration and rich, structured fruit.
