Cidermakers favourite apple. By crossing blush-crimson Jonathon apples with Golden Delicious apples, Jonagold is their offspring, and we love them. These apples were harvested from a 26-year-old orchard in east Kelowna. From the second we began crushing the apples and pressing off the juice, the cellar had an intoxicating aroma of bananas. We started ferment cool and slow, which helped trap the incredible aroma, which is where we realized we needed to share this single varietal with everyone. We added a small amount of pure Vanilla extract which lifts the banana nose and makes this a true dessert. Staying true to its name, the resulting cider is golden coloured which shines bright in the sun.
