With an average of 1,550 growing degree days and an abundance of sunshine, this area is a veritable Eden for grape growing. The desert-like conditions created by dry days and cool nights are ideal for producing juicy, sun-ripened red grape varieties. The vineyard’s sandy soil is composed of glacial deposits and benefits from the moderating influence of Osoyoos Lake. These factors combine to produce classic and well-structured wines with pure fruit expression. The unique combination of soil type and weather conditions in the Osoyoos East Bench area contribute to the development of flavour and ageability in the grapes.
